IA Code §§ 614.1(11)(a)(1)-(11)(a)(3) (2022):
Actions arising out of unsafe or defective condition that result in injury to property, or injury or death of a person, may be brought within:
1) 10 years if related to residential construction.
2) 8 years if related to any other kind of property.
Additionally, if unsafe or defective conditions are discovered in the last year, the period is extended 1 year.
