Louisiana Construction Litigation Hold

LA Rev Stat § 9:2772 (2022):
No action can be taken more than 5 years after:

1) Date of registry in mortgage office or acceptance of work.

2) If no date recorded within 6 months of occupation, then the date of occupation by owner is used.

Should injury or wrongful death occur in the 5th year, action can be brought within 1 year after the date of injury, but may not exceed 6 years after the date accepted in the previous section.
